There are various types of T1 fighting styles, so the instructions on how to play will always differ based on the community. However, most, if not all, T1 styles and systems follow the same basic principles when it comes to creating a world suitable for T1 Fighting.
These "Laws" are responsible for establishing and maintaining a virtual world, imposing limitations to govern the world and determining a legitimate winner to ensure fair and equal gameplay. These laws include Autoing, Godmode, and Metagaming — please refer to the Laws of Stability for more details.
To participate, individuals, known "T1 Fighters", need to find a community or person who understands and accepts the roleplaying status. In other words, they need to find someone else who also enjoys roleplaying and then present them with the guidelines required for an official roleplay fight.
The guidelines should include a mutual agreement on the set of rules, information about the character being used for the fight (including appearance, clothes, weapons, abilities, and strategies), the setting of the created world, and the designated battle phases necessary to determine a winner in the roleplay fight.
The Art of T1 Fighting can be enjoyed with two players or a party of players, allowing for various types of gameplay such as team-based matches (two versus two or four versus four). It also accommodates scenarios like free-for-all, last-man-standing, king-of-the-hill, capture-the-flag, tournaments, and more, providing a fair and structured way for everyone to have fun.
